Interviewing paul

Paul is a journalist works for observer which is a newspaper. He also works on magazines he does more of the writing for articles and also does sport and music. He has been a journalist for 20 years. A subeditor means narrowing words down to make them sound good and flow nicely. He only deals with the words and the desigining of them. He prefers to use few words because it sounds better and is more interesting. He went to a college called college of printing. Then after college he worked for a paper called sounds which is a music paper. He has also worked with observer and echos. Paul likes his job because it is a bit of everything. The job changes quickly because industry is still changing every second. They also write blogs like we do. Paul said it wasn't easy to get into the job and it still is not easy now. If you miss a deadline persistantly you will get fired from your job because you get a week to do everything but you can write the report the day after you have seen something you have to write about. Paul has worked until 2 in the morning once because he had to get it all done. He can go to events where celebrities go to. You would be known for writing in the newspaper. I think this talk was good because we may not know what we want to do in the future, but Paul said he didn't know either and he told us about the industry so if we wanted to go into journalism then he gave us ideas.
